**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**

The Team Lead is responsible for the monitoring of the workload of the Housing First team. They will track caseloads, assign cases and ensure staff have met all the minimum requirements in terms of documentation on ETO and other contractual obligations. The Team Lead will work closely with the manager to adjust the program as needed in order to meet contractual obligations.

**Finance**
- Reviews, approves, and submits all cheque requests and bills
- Reviews, approves, and submits all Exceptional Costs

**Administration**
- Prepares reports and statistics as required
- Maintains regular communication with the Manager
- Maintains active liaison with landlords’ community partners and funder
- Ensures that program and staff are compliant with Accreditation Standards and maintain best practice
- Helps to mitigate issues arising with landlords and tenancy of participants
- Assist Manager with referrals
- Attends Team Lead meetings as per funder contract
- Responsible for tracking staff caseload debriefs, exceptional costs, and cheque requests
- Responsible for updating and tracking Timely Access

**Personnel**
- Supports the recruiting, interviews and the selection of new staff
- Supports ongoing evaluation of the Spady Housing First staff and is responsible for disciplinary procedures
- Keep manager informed of any schedule changes or pending time off requests
- Encourages and supports staff participation in training and development
- Establishes and coordinates training opportunities for staff
- Manage caseloads and assign clients to workers
- Ensures that staff are following best practice and safety protocols
- Manages flex time
- Assists with staff meetings as required to ensure good communication and morale within the team
- Keeps the Manager informed of any potential staff or participant issues

**Position Requirements**
- 3 to 5 years management experience in a social service or health related field.
- Willingness to take on a caseload as needed
- Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions based on policy
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Skilled in leading a team and building team cohesion.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of addictions, mental health and marginalized populations
- Demonstrated level of literacy and communication skills sufficient for job responsibilities
- An open, accepting attitude
- Degree or Diploma is a human resource related field_._
- Must have a reliable vehicle for in-community work and transporting participants
- Familiar with the findings of the TRC and barriers faced by MMIW.
