**Position Type**: Starting as a 1-year contract position (with the potential of being a permanent role).

**Location**: Onsite at The Bridge Whitby Church, 95 Taunton Rd E Whitby, ON L1R 3L3, with some remote work flexibility (negotiable)

**Reporting to**: Jonathan James, Director of Worship & Creative Arts

**Job Summary**:
The Bridge Whitby Church is seeking a Technical & Social Media Associate to join our team. The primary focus of this position will be to lead website design (able to work with Square Space), followed by social media management skills, Sunday setup/programming, and possessing photography/videography abilities as to complement the social media management aspect.

As the Technical & Social Media Associate, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and creative skills to help build our online presence, engage our community, and support our ministry initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage website design and updates using Square Space.
- Develop and execute a social media strategy for the church across multiple platforms.
- Create and curate engaging and relevant content for social media channels, including graphics, videos, and written content.
- Manage and monitor social media accounts and respond to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Possess photography/videography abilities to complement the social media management aspect.
- Support technical needs for church events, including livestreaming, recording, and editing services.
- Proficient in Office 365, Planning Centre, and other relevant software.
- Attend and provide technical support for Sunday services at The Bridge Whitby Church.

**Qualifications**:

- A passion for digital media, creativity, and innovation.
- Experience with website design (using Square Space).
- Demonstrated success in managing social media accounts and implementing social media strategies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Proficient in Office 365, Planning Centre, Propresenter 7, and other relevant software.
- Experience in photography/videography, with a portfolio of work to showcase.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience working in a church or non-profit organization is an asset.
- Must be available to work on location at The Bridge Whitby Church, 95 Taunton Rd E Whitby, ON L1R 3L3, on Sundays.

**Equipment**:

- The church will supply a Sony A7ii camera, DJI Gimbel, and iPad. If required, a laptop may be provided.

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.00 per hour
