**About This Opportunity**:
The Family Focus Medical Clinics group has an opportunity available for a full-time Family Physician at their Joseph Howe Drive location in Halifax. The Family Focus Medical Clinics and its affiliates are committed to providing medical care in both walk-in and family practice settings at hours that are convenient for the members of the community they serve. Physicians may choose to work in the walk-in clinic should this be of interest.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention

Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’

Act as a patient’s advocate

Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations

Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

**Expected Hours**:
Full Time 1.0 FTE

**Qualifications**:
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
