**Job summary**
The Customer Service Representative works directly with customers and employees, handling inquiries, product returns, exchanges and sales transactions efficiently and professionally.

**Responsibilities**:
- Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner, over the phone and in person.
- Responds to and handles multiple customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
- Deals with challenging situations and conflict resolution in a professional manner.
- Processes returns, exchanges and customer purchases efficiently, following standardized procedures.
- Follows established policies and procedures on returns and rain checks.
- Accurately verifies merchandise quantities, descriptions and price.
- Provides accurate warranty information for products.
- Ensures the customer service area remains clean and properly stocked.
- Maintains merchandise around the customer service area and ensures that retail basics are executed efficiently.
- Provides announcements professionally through a public-address system.
- Operate cash register, computer and printer.
- Respects and ensures compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
**Requirements / Skills**
- Strong belief in the Canadian Tire Values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Highly approachable, customer-oriented individual who thrives in offering exceptional service to customers.
- Previous Customer Service experience is required (minimum 6 months of experience).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to operate a cash register is required.
- Ability to resolve retail and/or customer issues required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English required.
- Mandarin written and oral communication is an asset.
- Ability to work shifts required (days, evenings, weekends and holidays).
- Ability to work 40 hours a week required (days, evenings, weekends and holidays).
- Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations and make quick decisions.
- Ability to multitask.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and solid work ethic.
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, twisting, turning and reaching.
