Keeping Ontario’s Legislative Assembly running smoothly takes many talented people, doing many different jobs—from camera operators and committee clerks, to purchasing officers and researchers. The Office of the Assembly is dedicated to serving Ontario’s Parliament.

Together, we provide non-partisan administrative and procedural services to all MPPs, as well as operational support for the daily activities of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Reporting to the Director of Information Services, the Manager of Enterprise Applications provides leadership, planning, and management expertise to maintain a large portfolio of active business platforms including enterprise resource systems, human resources, training, financial and other Assembly cloud-based platforms.

The Manager ensures solutions are implemented using the correct technology and are quality tested. They develop technical plans that align with the Assembly’s business objectives using standards-based processes that follows best practices in the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem.

The Manager leads a group of technology professionals and analysts through the steps of the development life cycle from analysis, research and design to implementation and ongoing support and upgrades. They will guide the team by working in consultation with business unit product owners and vendors to support and improve services as required.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Ensure individual systems projects support the overall information technology and information management objectives of the Assembly
- Monitor and control project resources, finances and activities, provide status updates and regular reports tracking key metrics while setting priorities for staff across priority areas
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the current state of information technology and market conditions and trends that could impact the Assembly its Offices, Caucuses, and Members
- Manage vendor relationships including contract negotiations, performance and overall customer experience
- Provide and manage the provision of expert knowledge for second tier support for Service Desk clients as required

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Work in consultation with key IT stakeholders including Technology Services staff and the Portfolio Management Office to ensure projects are communicated effectively, completed on schedule and delivered collaboratively
- Directly support all branches of the Assembly by monitoring and maintaining all existing solutions

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- University degree with 5+ years of relevant progressive experience in the areas of information management and information technology including 2+ in a supervisory role
- Extensive experience in traditional and current project management methods
- Experience reporting on plans and progress to senior leaders on issues, changes and trends.
- Facilitation and conflict-resolution skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts and processes into business contexts
- Experience managing medium to large projects, implementing new features to live systems and analyzing operational requirements by translating business needs into technical solutions
- Understanding of public sector information technology trends and challenges
- Expert knowledge required in modern cloud-based service environments, particularly Microsoft

The Office of the Assembly is currently in a flexible workplace pilot program. The program permits employees in certain positions to work up to a maximum of 2 days per week for some of their regular scheduled hours from a mutually agreed upon location away from the office without compromising the efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of the Assembly business or overall service delivery. Employees that are able to participate in the program understand and agree that they must be available, when requested, to be onsite as required and, as such, are required to maintain proximity within commuting distance in Ontario from the Assembly’s formal place of business at the Legislative Precinct in Toronto, Ontario. Employees may be required to return to work in the Legislative Precinct full-time as deemed by the Assembly.
