The Housekeeping\Cottage Checker Team Member ensures that cottages, public restrooms, the laundry room and Welcome Centre are clean and well stocked. Duties may include checking inventory levels in cottages, are met both inside and outside of the cottage, ready for guests. They are the final stamp of approval prior to a guest’s arrival.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Checking guest rooms to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Perform morning preparations for the housekeeping team including room assignments.
- Communicate with other departments.
- Cleaning cottages to Vine Ridge’s high standards, within established timelines.
- Ensuring the work environment is tidy and well organized at all times, including storage areas.
- Removal of waste from guestrooms/public areas.
- Proper tagging and handling of lost & found items.
- Report any deficiencies, damage, and found articles to supervisor(s).
- Maintains the appropriate personal appearance and hygiene when on duty, including proper uniform. Scent free.
- Proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
- Replenish inventory items in Welcome Centre and public washrooms
- Ensure gardens, if applicable, are weeded and are presentable to guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Previous hotel housekeeping experience
- Available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Friendly, customer-oriented attitude
- Works well with little supervision in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively and positively with guests and coworkers
- Job requires constant standing, walking, lifting and bending
- Requires some heavy lifting (approx. 40-50 lbs.)
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive, healthy, and safe workplace culture.

Working Conditions:

- Multi area setting, primarily indoor.
- Must be capable of coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously amidst continuous distractions, conflicting priorities, and tight deadlines.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
