**Overview - Waterworks Food Hall**

Waterworks is a residential and mixed-use real estate development in a transformed 1930’s era public utilities building featuring stylish city condos, a beautiful food hall, and a fully outfitted YMCA all connected to St. Andrew’s Playground. Located in the heart of Toronto near the dynamic King West corridor, Waterworks is an artful blend of heritage industrial architecture and modernism where early century meets cool contemporary. The Waterworks food hall is designed to be more than a destination for good food from local merchants, but a social centerpiece of the community.

**Our Concepts**

**Pizzeria Popolo**

Pizzeria Popolo will feature daily handcrafted Roman-style pizzas on display, fresh salads, and panouzzo sandwiches. This Roman Style Pizza concept is ideally suited for the food hall as the roots of Pizza Alla Pala started in the streets of Rome, as a delicious takeaway and eat-on-the-go option for patrons, so we are truly owning something special within the market.

**Affiliated Concept - Taco Lupita**

Taco Lupita is a Tijuana Style Taco concept located within the Waterworks Food Hall that represents authentic, delicious tacos and mulitas made with fresh corn tortillas, beautifully seasoned meats and vegetables, and in-house hot sauces and features simple, but ingredient driven authentic Tacos. Taco Lupita is a celebratory concept that instantly makes guests happy through the experiences it creates for them.

**Who You Are**

The Restaurant Manager for Pizzeria Popolo is part of a dynamic management team that has a foundation of inspirational leadership and passion for excellence. Driving the business forward while overseeing a wide range of activities from day to day operations, staff training and guest engagement, the Restaurant Manager is ultimately responsible for leading the restaurant's daily success while upholding Pizzeria Popolo’s brand image and values.

The Restaurant Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the business consistently delivers high-quality food and beverage products. The Management team must set the exemplary standard of guest satisfaction for their staff by role modelling the expectations set for them by the brand model. The Restaurant Manager will also support the Taco Lupita team as required.

**What You’ll Do**

The role will be involved in the restaurant’s overall operations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Be enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrate a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift while motivating and leading the team
- Deliver superior food and beverage service while maximizing guest satisfaction
- Manage and oversee the service operations through action with presence throughout the service periods
- Implement and uphold exceptional service standards and training with focus on the guest experience
- Assist the General Manager with recruiting people and ongoing service training
- Daily Fiscal reporting; sales and labour
- Management of beverage inventory and cost reporting
- Ongoing positive relationship with suppliers
- Active participation in location management and staff meetings

- **Organization**: Can effectively move between tasks and prioritize appropriately between execution, operational tasks, and cleanliness.

**Skills - Experience - Education**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food and beverage outlet
- Minimum 1 years’ experience at the management level
- QSR experience considered an asset
- Experience in a new restaurant opening considered an asset
- Excellent listening, comprehension and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to: POS, inventory software, excel and word
- Food Safety, Smart Serve and W.H.M.I.S. Certifications
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 50 lbs, must be able to stoop and bend
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
