Heavy Equipment Operator

United Group is searching for an experienced heavy equipment operator to utilize our company-owned heavy equipment ranging from excavators, dozers, skid steers, to wheeled loaders. The heavy equipment operator's duties are to ensure that the equipment is operated in the correct manner. They must also be able to perform routine maintenance on the equipment to ensure that it is in good working order.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders and wheeled loaders to excavate, move, load earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary
- Report and take instructions from a supervisor or foreman
- Performing other construction duties as needed
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and equally motivated working independently
**Requirements**:
- Relevant license and safety certification
- Understanding of industry-standard safe working procedures
- Understanding of how to conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and how to maintain them
- Attention to detail and desire to provide high-quality workmanship
- Ability to commute to job site locations in the Lower Mainland
- Technical knowledge of how to properly use equipment needed for the job
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Capacity to provide and follow direction
