- This is a strategic and hands-on role, in which the individual would support the performance management, and analytics for an integrated provincial network of over 50 public, hospital, and community laboratories.
- The Lead, Performance Management, reports to the Manager, Performance Management & Analytics. The Lead will oversee the development of primary data analysis and reporting content for emerging provincial laboratory medicine issues, high-priority initiatives, and testing programs. In doing so, they will access Ontario’s health administrative databases and other tools within Ontario Health. They will implement data visualizations, report on key performance indicators, link variables against currently available provincial datasets, and provide advice on measurement and new data collection where provincial data elements are insufficient.
- The Lead will be the main point of contact for managing Ontario Laboratory Medicine Program’s Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Framework and will work collaborative with other team members across Ontario Health to lead system improvements through planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluating initiatives. They will lead the development and implementation of a reporting compliance subprogram and identify areas of Ontario’s healthcare system that suggest quality gaps between current practice and optimal care. They will synthesize descriptive analyses on populations and service areas of interest, examine and interpret regional and institutional variations in utilization and outcome, and prepare executive reports. Finally, they are responsible for recommending courses of action and implementing resolutions to complex data problems.

Here is what you will be doing:
- Implements the design, development, and optimization of performance management capabilities for lab network, including performance monitoring, key metrics reporting, and data analytics as it relates to Laboratory Medicine testing.-
- Responsible for key performance metrics processes and reporting, and develops insights and surfaces common trends from across regions for Laboratory Medicine testing. These include: forecasting and realization and key supply chain KPIs for the lab network-
- Reviews and refine provincial and regional dashboards of operational KPIs for the testing network-
- Facilitate issue identification and resolution across network operations-
- Reviews and refines ad-hoc analyses for leadership to assist in decision making-
- Responsible for the the optimization, development and maintenance of a performance management system for COVID-19 testing including performance standards and metrics, targets, accountability agreements, scorecards, tracking tools, audit and feedback reports for the program.-
- Works in collaboration with colleagues on operational matters to ensure key senior stakeholders in OH, and across ministries and agencies, have the most accurate, clean and timely information to enable informed and data-driven decision making as it relates to Laboratory Medicine testing.-
- Works in collaboration with funding unit to determine funding requirements, allocation for the delivery of Laboratory Medicine testing, and providing input into the funding and costing models.-
- Effectively make evidence-based decisions and communicate insights, findings, results and performance analysis to functional teams and senior management along with recommendations for improvement.-
- Builds relationships and consultations with Ontario Health stakeholders impacted by COVID-19 to respond to program related inquiries and seek feedback on program or service needs.Here is what you will need to be successful:
