**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Course Development**: Design, update, and refine curriculum for the Accounting and Payroll program to ensure it aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- **Assessment and Feedback**: Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure students are meeting academic and performance standards.
- **Student Support**: Offer individualized support to students, including tutoring, mentoring, and addressing student inquiries related to course materials and career development.
- **Industry Engagement**: Stay up to date on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes to relevant tax laws and payroll regulations to maintain curriculum relevance and accuracy.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with colleagues, management, and industry professionals to enhance the program’s curriculum and improve the overall educational experience.
- **Administrative Duties**: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of academic programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, payroll management, and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in teaching, training, or mentoring individuals in accounting, payroll, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, etc.).
- Familiarity with federal and provincial payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting and payroll concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
- Ability to create an interactive, student-centered classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Moodle, Canvas) is a plus.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in designing and implementing online or blended learning programs.
- Knowledge of payroll tax filing, benefits administration, and compensation structures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- A passion for teaching and helping students succeed in their careers.

**Working Conditions**:
