**Controller**

We are a private holding company engaged in manufacturing and supplying sophisticated equipment to large OEMs and top-tier companies both in Canada and USA through five manufacturing plants.

**About the Opportunity**
- Manages all accounting functions for the organization including revenue accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee the operations of assigned plant controls, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving established goals and objectives
- Provide timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensures that all financial information within the company is collected and reported in a timely, accurately and meets internal and external reporting requirements
- Assistance with analysis of performance results
- Work closely with Operations heads to develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Perform analysis of the budget/forecast vs actuals and report of results
- Maintain and improve financial information and recording systems by ensuring that proper accounting principles and practices are followed,
- Effective management of cash, investments, accounts receivable, and inventory
- Ensures compliance on all tax filings of the company and its affiliates
- Responsible for administration and risk management functions
- Identify cost reduction and consolidation opportunities
- Responsible for managing accounting staff, including monitoring performance, day-to-day coaching, and providing performance appraisals,

**About You**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / MBA and CPA or equivalent designation
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a professional accountant with extensive experience ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supervising accounting team (AP, AR, general accounting)
- Understanding of computerized accounting systems - ERP and reporting software.
- Experience in providing financial advice to management
- Strong Excel skills and ideally some modeling experience

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
