**ABOUT THE POSITION**
Working in a remote camp setting on a rotational (3x3) basis, the Mobile Crusher Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy mining equipment related mobile crushing and wash plant operations. The Mobile Crusher Operator reports to the Supervisor, Open Pit and Earthworks and will work with site teams and the plant team to maintain cleanliness of plant work, aid in the overall care and maintenance of the plant and related equipment and provide adequate documentation of work and plant operations.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Reporting to the Supervisor, Open Pit & Earthworks or Designate, duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Operation of Loader or Excavator to feed mobile crusher/ wash plant.
- The safe and efficient operation of mobile crushers, screeners, conveyor systems for construction materials production from the open pit operations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment and report any deficiencies to supervisor. Aid in the overall maintenance of equipment as necessary.
- Provide effective documentation of work completed and other required documentation to supervisor.
- Maintain clear communication across site teams of plant operations.
- The safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment on plant property (loaders, water trucks, etc.).
- The safe and efficient operation of wash plant to ensure quality control. Report issues regarding quality, safety, maintenance and production to supervisor as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas to ensure areas are hazard free.
- The safe and efficient transportation of materials from different areas of site as needed.
- Participate in daily safety toolbox talks to promote compliance with Sabina’s safety policies and procedures.
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment such as Mobile Crushers, Excavators, and/or Loaders (or related role) in mining environment required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid drivers license with preference given to those with Class 3 or higher.
- Experience working in remote camp settings with limited access to resources considered an asset.
