The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to inspire and engage employees to provide Great Experiences for guests, owners and employees through established standards, policies, procedures, training and on-boarding. Using motivational leadership and open communication skills, a leader will motivate staff to meet and exceed service standards, and will promote a seamless, hassle-free guest experience, taking ownership of both the guest and employee experience.

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
- Based on Lodging's Standard Operating Procedures and Service Promises take ownership to ensure quality of room cleanliness, daily services, public space cleanliness, timely delivery of services, and anticipation of guest needs.
- In conjunction with this hotel's assigned Guest Experience and Engineering Supervisors, maintain not only the general BMR lodging standards but develop and maintain building specific operating and facility standards, policies and procedures aimed together at delivering memorable hassle-free resort experiences for the hotel's guests and owners.
- Accept true ownership of guest issues and work with other lodging partners to bring these issues to a swift and positive conclusion.
- Take primary responsibility for coaching and developing up to 25 Room Attendants through room audits, semi-annual performance appraisals, one-on one meetings, and regular communication, and recognition programs. Also includes daily leadership of House and Public Space teams.
- Promote BMR Health and Safety standards and initiatives, completing health and safety building audits, reporting and investigating incidents, managing staff on modified duties to assist them returning to pre-injury status.
- Coordinate and communicate all daily housekeeping activities in your hotel; ensure high-quality, productive cleaning in guest rooms and public spaces; achieved through strong cooperation in all hotel employees (Room attendants, House Team, Public Spaces cleaners, Guest Experience Supervisor and Front Desk staff, and Engineers). Lead daily briefing to ensure all staff have been prepared for the day.
- Understand, and fairly apply: BMR Housekeeping auditing and inspection program, sequence of service, Health and Safety program, Guest damage reporting program, and all departmental policies and procedures.
- Lead daily briefing, ensure team is prepared for the day with supplies and resources, and ensure that daily tasks are correctly assigned in the computer system. Also includes updating system throughout the day and at the end of day to ensure correct task completion for follow-up and payroll purposes.

**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?**
- Minimum of 2 years previous customer service experience.
- Previous leadership experience with a proven record of successful conflict management and strong interactions with guests and employees.
- Intermediate computer knowledge, MS Office required; knowledge of Property Management software an asset.
- Previous housekeeping experience at a 4-star hotel or resort an asset.
- Using a motivational approach, must have a proven ability to coach, develop, mentor and recognize employees.
- Must work well with limited supervision.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid 'G' licence (with a clean driver's abstract) as this position involves frequently operating a vehicle.
