**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**

You'll focus on helping them build social skills through exciting activities at our main office and engaging outings in the community. **POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Collaborate with a partner to implement the summer program curriculum, including activities focused on social skills development, turn-taking, fine and gross motor skills, and activities of daily living.
- Assist in planning and organizing outings and community activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Supervise and support campers during activities, providing guidance and encouragement as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where participants feel supported and valued.
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to assess participant progress and make adjustments to the program as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, behavior, and progress.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a relevant field such as education, psychology, social work, or recreation.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse abilities, preferably in a camp or recreational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of social skills development and the ability to adapt activities to meet the needs of individual participants.
- Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to providing high-quality support to participants.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is preferred.

**SCHEDULE**
- Training from June 11th to June 27th, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the main office.
- Summer program runs for eight weeks from July 2nd to August 22nd, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Participants will have a paid lunch break and work with the group from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- August 25th is for debrief and evaluation, with additional time allocated for clean-up and preparation.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The position is directly accountable to the Children’s Services Manager
**Status**: Temporary Full-time

**Wage**: $17.20 Hourly

**Hours of work**: 80 hours Bi-weekly
