Toronto, Canada Guerrilla Burger Full time

You'll be involved in every aspect of the operation, from food preparation to customer service and maintaining cleanliness. Your role is crucial in driving sales by delivering outstanding service, creating memorable experiences, and engaging with customers both inside the store and outside. As a Line Cook at Guerrilla Burger, you'll prepare high-quality fast-casual meals according to our standard recipes, ensuring they meet our exact specifications. Your responsibilities include the production of sauces, in-house prepped recipes, setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, handling dishes, and maintaining sanitation standards. During quieter times, you may work alone, where staying active and visible to potential customers is essential. Your proactive approach helps attract and retain customers, contributing to the growth and success of Guerrilla Burger.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Kitchen Setup: Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and fully stocked before service.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble Guerrilla Burger's loaded vegan burgers and sides with attention to detail and quality. Handle the production of sauces and in-house prepped recipes, ensuring consistency and flavor.
- Cooking: Cook menu items independently, following restaurant specifications, and work collaboratively with kitchen staff.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and assemble products with care. Engage with customers, offer samples, and interact with passersby to boost sales.
- Cash Handling: Operate the POS system, process payments, and assist with
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up, clean, and fully stocked. Maintain a clean, organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Clean prep areas, manage extra stock, and handle dishes throughout the shift.
- Teamwork & Professionalism: Collaborate with team members, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate effectively. Report to the manager and follow instructions to uphold Guerrilla Burger's high standards.

**Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.

A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work cooperatively in a team.

**Schedule: Evening shifts, weekends, until 1 AM**

**Reports to: Shift Leader/General Manager**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
