**About Us**:
The Ministry of Seniors, Community and Social Services leads income, employment, disabilities and seniors programs, community based supports, family and sexual violence prevention, and family and community support services.

The Preventive Community Services Division designs, develops and implements initiatives that support the needs of Albertans experiencing homelessness, family violence, sexual violence and abuse. The division works with local civil society organizations, municipalities and Métis Settlements to prevent and address social issues.

The Civil Society and Community Initiatives branch is responsible for the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Grant, the Civil Society Fund (CSF), and other strategic grant programs as needed (e.g. COVID-19 Emergency Social Services Grant). The FCSS programs have a significant impact on Albertans and have substantial public accountability delivering over $100 million in funding to over 300 Municipalities and Metis Settlements each year. The Civil Society Fund provides $20 million over 3 years to expand civil society's capacity to address social problems facing Albertans.

The Preventive Community Services Division is looking for a motivated, experienced grant and contract professional looking to take on a new challenge. Reporting to the Director, Community Preventive Initiatives, the Team Lead, CSCI Grants contributes significantly to the effective grant delivery of the FCSS Program, the CSF and other priority grant programs by serving as the primary program contact with stakeholders including municipalities and civil society organizations.

The position:

- Is responsible for leading, planning, and developing a coordinated grant management and procurement process for all branch grants including FCSS, CSF, and all other grants/contracts as needed to ensure program integrity an efficient and effective process and effective stakeholder relationships
- Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and is the branch's primary resource to communicate timely and accurate information related to all aspects of grants and contracts within the CSCI branch;
- Leads all aspects of grant and contract reporting to ensure financial accountability;
- Leads the development and continuous improvement of templates and documents to accurately reflect policy and processes and supports grant evaluation activities and provides input into opportunities for continuous improvement; And
- Leads a team of professionals responsible for grant administration

**Qualifications**:
A university degree in business administration or related field, and a minimum of four years progressively related experience within the public sector is required.

Equivalency:
Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Assets
- Accounting designation is an asset
- Knowledge of government grant administration to municipalities, Metis Settlements, and/or civil society organizations
- Stakeholder relations practices and knowledge of municipal government and civil society organization’s governance, structures, and administrative practices
- Experience leading a team
- Excellent verbal communication and the ability to write clearly and concisely.

**Salary**:
$2,716.64 to $ 3,550.90 bi-weekly ($70,904 - $92,678/year)
