**What does your day at GIP look like?**
**Reporting To**:
Project Manager / Senior Project Coordinator
- Assist the Project Superintendent in Managing and coordinating on-site operations.
- Assist in establishing and monitoring construction work schedules including “look ahead” schedules.
- Monitor, record and report production rates and construction progress on a weekly basis.
- Undertake field inspections and work verifications to identify, measure, and keep record of payment quantities as per contract items to assist the Project Team in preparation of the monthly payment certificates.
- Undertake field inspections and work verifications as part of Quality Control processes and complete associated documentation.
- Review field inspection reports from Quality Control and Quality Assurance consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Maintain project documentation within GIP and project specific processes as well as entering data as required to Cloud Based Project Management Software for the client.
- Ordering site-specific materials and supplies.
- Track contemplated change notices and change orders in the database.
- Request for quotes from subcontractors and supplier on as required basis as part of the procurement and Change Management processes.
- Become familiar with and implement project specific processes to ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Keep and maintain the daily diary and appropriate records to fulfil the requirements of the contract and provide detailed history of site events and history.
- Assist the Project Team in the cost coding and cost controlling process.
- Attend site meetings (as required).
- Ensure all works meet contract document requirements and meet or exceed all applicable standards.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, Provincial, and local laws, particularly applicable Occupational Health & Safety Acts / Construction Safety Act regulations and environmental requirements.
- Provide input on site operations, to increase production or solve problems.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of safety plans and tactics.
- Conducting and documenting regular health and safety meetings.
- Assist the Project Superintendent in the investigation of any incidents or complaints and preparation of associated reports.
- Responsible for compliance and enforcement of all Company policies and procedures with regards to all employees and contractors.
- Work closely and diplomatically with all personnel to maximize overall operational harmony, productivity and efficiency that will ultimately better serve the clients.
- Such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor.

- Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree/College Diploma or satisfactory combination of training and experience
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and contract documents.
- Pro-active and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
