**Position Overview**:

- Under the general supervision of the MANAGER, ACCOUNTING, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the ACCOUNTING CLERK is responsible for maintaining the Accounts Receivable system including preparing schedules and summaries, invoicing, data entry and matching cash received to invoiced amounts. The Accounting Clerk is also responsible for processing daily and monthly journal entries on the computerized accounting system; analyzing various income accounts; maintaining the T4A databases and preparing T4As and related schedules: and performing other related duties as assigned.

**Experience**:

- Experience and/or education in the use of a personal computer.
- One (1) year related experience.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Grade XII or equivalent.
- Completion of first(1st) year of a recognized accounting course or equivalent experience.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
- Ability to work accurately.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to interact well with all levels of staff.
