Does the idea of working in an innovative production facility appeal to you? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Maintenance Planner/Scheduler** This role will be based out of our PVC plant facility located in Edmonton, AB.

**Job Summary**

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will work closely with the Maintenance Manager with a focus on planning and coordinating preventative maintenance activities with an emphasis on ensuring plans implemented, documented and accessible for future reference. They will also ensure that maintenance stores are maintained, organized and replenished. The starting pay is **$35/hour.**

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Issue, monitor & close maintenance work orders in our CMMS program.
- Issue, monitor & file all Preventative Maintenance Reports.
- Source any and all parts required, working in conjunction with the Plant Buyer.
- Coordinate & maintain maintenance spare parts inventory. Create minimum/maximum category for all critical parts.
- Collaborate closely with other plant departments and personnel
- Work with external vendors to expedite shipments
- Participate in plant projects and provide support in areas of planning, documentation and resolution.
- Monitor and replenish all shop supplies.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or a GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in a maintenance environment is an asset
- Excellent digital literacy, and high proficiency with MS Office.
- Above average mechanical proficiency
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management abilities
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Eager to learn and adapt quickly

**Working conditions**

Incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labour, lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects (50-75 lbs.), standing and walking covers majority of the work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp blades. Moderate amount of sensory attention is required. Limited control of work pace and unexpected workflow brings considerable stresses to this position. The incumbent understands, respects, and adheres to the workplace Health and Safety rules and Safe Work Practices.
