Responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for all business operations. Responsible for developing new processes and systems designed to manage all financial and fiscal aspects of the company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Managing Accounting department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, organizing and coordinating the allocation of resources;

- Assist with the development and implementation of the multi-year department plan, including ways to identify and implement process improvements that drive quality, efficiency and reduce costs;

- Preparation of KPI reports on a weekly basis;
- Ability to monitor, manage and control cash requirements of the Company on a daily basis;
- Responsible for compliance with government reporting and tax filings (HST, WSIB, Payroll, etc.);
- Assist with year end audit and report preparation and working with external accountants;
- Ensure accuracy of costs and inventory transactions;
- Maintenance of the capital asset system and records;
- Calculation of factory and department overhead rates;
- Work closely with Sales and Operations to complete the monthly financial closing process;
- Manage finance department (A/P, A/R, Payroll) and ensure work assigned is completed on time with accuracy;
- Offer financial expertise and advice to other department managers to recommend strategies to continually improve company performance;
- Own weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to investor partners, banking partners and external stakeholders;
- Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding cash collections and payments.
