**Position Overview**:
The Bylaw Enforcement Coordinator is responsible for providing supervision, business and accounting support for the Bylaw Enforcement Division. The position is also responsible for the City’s Impound Lot and maintaining and reconciling accounts related to the Impound Lot. This position will coordinate prosecution of infractions related to all Bylaw Services enforcement while ensuring compliance with applicable Bylaws and Provincial Legislation.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**:

- The Bylaw Enforcement Coordinator will supervise the day to day operations of the Bylaw

Unit.
- Scheduling of staff assignment of duties to Bylaw Enforcement Officers.
- Maintain records for the Bylaw Unit including collection verification, entry, analysis,

posting and balancing.
- Mentor, coach, and assist in the training of Bylaw Officers and Parking Inspectors.
- Coordinate the prosecution of violations of City of Prince Albert Bylaws, and any other

relevant Acts, bylaws regulations or legal standards
- Preparation of summary offence tickets, notices of violation, warning letters, orders to

comply and any other related documentation.
- Preparation of documents including spreadsheets, summons, court files, dockets,

requisitions, invoices, billings, statements, journal entries and required reports.
- Process and maintain information related to all impounded vehicles, including applicable

SGI and ISC searches.
- Arrange for disposal of vehicles, including obtaining authorization from SGI for disposal,

arranging with lienholders for repossession, arranging the auction or crushing of vehicles

as required.
- Respond to inquiries and investigate complaints relating to Municipal Bylaws.
- Compile information and documentation to support Legal Counsel on Bylaw related

matters. Tasks include but are not limited to gathering documentation and preparing

briefs.
- Participation in neighborhood strengthening and community awareness initiatives.
- Complete and analyze regular Bylaw Activity Statistics and trends.
- Interpret and explain bylaws, policies and regulations pertaining to bylaw matters.
- Coverage of Bylaw Manager as required.
- General Duties
- Attend to all inquiries through personal, telephone, and written communication.
- Follow acts, regulations, bylaws, agreements, policies and procedures.
- Follow regulations, acts and policies of Occupational Health & Safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**:

- Degree in Business Administration, Law Enforcement or related field plus 2 years of

enforcement experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license with the Province of Saskatchewan.
- Must be willing to take applicable safety and job-related programs/courses.
