**Quality Assurance (QA) Tester**

**Location**:Remote - Canada

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester, you’ll be responsible for assessing the quality of requirements, software development and deployment. They are involved in developing and performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of software and systems, risk mitigation, and prevention of software issues.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Tester understands architecture, backend, and frontend QA testing needs. They are curious, focused on the continuous improvement of tools and processes, and excels at providing accurate information about the quality of the system under test.

**What you’ll do**:

- Collaborates with the IT team on continuous test evolution, and to ensure we are consistently delivering high-quality products
- Contributes to a metrics-driven standard of quality for WCG’s software products
- Measures and improves the quality of software output by testing features, tracking defects, and identifying areas for improvement
- Identifies areas for improvement in skills and processes such as story definition, and exploratory and automated testing
- Provides documentation of the test cases which expresses what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.
- Participates in WCG’s automation and testing needs, participates in creating new and upgrading existing test frameworks, and designs test plans and environments based on industry best standards.

**Essential Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university in QA, or related field
- Five (5) + years of QA experience working on cloud solutions (SaaS) or software products
- An excellent end-to-end understanding of QA processes and can help others to drive product excellence
- Experience in manual testing (i.e., exploratory testing)
- Experience in Agile processes, CD/CI, user stories, acceptance criteria, testing pyramid
- Experience performing testing with tools like TestRail, Azure Test Plans, Cypress, K6, JMeter, Postman, Browserstack
- Employment is conditional on obtaining federal Reliability Status security clearance

**Preferred Criteria**
- Certified Test Engineer (CSTE)
- Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
- Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
- CMSQ (Certified Manager of Software Quality)
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
