Our Calgary location is seeking a Ramp and Training Supervisor support our diverse operations at the Calgary Main Terminal

The Ramp and Training Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, developing, administering, and implementing the Ramp Agent training programs, and serves as the coordinator for the Ramp Agent training programs within one or more divisions and/or departments. This position is also responsible for all ensuring Ramp Agents work safely and follow proper procedures. This position reports operationally to the Service Delivery Manager and administratively to the General Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and lead a high-performance ground handling team in order to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
- Train ramp staff on Airlines operational requirements for the aircraft.
- Train new and experienced staff members in ramp operations.
- Build and maintain training files for new and existing staff members.
- Lead and run staff members accordingly through Airlines training network.
- Oversee all online training to ensure agents complete all modules.
- Oversee EFC LMS training.
- Conduct or Implement training Audits.
- Lead, coach and mentor the Ground Handling team.
- Ensure compliance by team members to policies and procedures and OH&S standards inclusive of FHA’s, FLRA’s, and Toolbox Meetings.
- Work closely with OH&S team regarding safety audits, incident investigations and any other safety program initiatives.
- Strive to minimize staff turnover and to keep team headcount at acceptable levels, share successes and foster an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork.
- Monitor staff attendance and performance, and report issues daily to Service Delivery Manager.
- Support operational strategies to motivate the Ground Handling Team to achieve departmental goals.
- Communicate changes in policy, procedures, products, services, or any other alterations that affect delivery of client care.
- Identify and suggest technology solutions to meet evolving department and customer/client needs.
- Determine required supplies and equipment for ramp operations.
- Troubleshoot issues within the ground handling process.
- Fulfil Ramp Supervisor duties when needed.
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Able to work with mínimal or no supervision.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
- Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service.
- Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as required.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- An aviation background required, with a certificate or diploma in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory position.
- Previous training experience is required.
- Airport Security Clearance and Driver’s Abstract is required as a condition of employment.
- Proficiency with MS Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- Able to analyse and interpret the needs of customers and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, multitasking, and execution skills.
- Professional presentation and demeanour while providing superior customer service and training.
- Punctual, meticulous, and diligent.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced operation, and respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment, with limited to no supervision.
- Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence, AVOP and radio licence an asset.
- Professional written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, etc
