Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a crew of tree planters in the efficient and safe planting of seedlings according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Plan daily work activities, including site preparation, tree planting techniques, and equipment operation.
- Conduct on-site training and provide guidance to crew members on proper planting techniques, safety protocols, and environmental stewardship.
- Monitor and assess project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate work schedules, resolve issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain accurate records of planting activities, including seedling counts, planting densities, and site conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in tree planting or afforestation projects, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of forestry practices, tree species identification, and planting techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in outdoor environments and adapt to varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR and/or other relevant safety training is an asset.
- Commitment to environmental sustainability and Indigenous land stewardship.
