Bilingual (French/English) Accounting Customer Service Representative
PBS Systems is a true Calgary success story brought to life by a husband-and-wife duo in the basement of their family home in 1988.
The couple created software for auto retail sales, and by the early ‘90s, their product was processing over 80% of new car sales in English-speaking Canada. Simultaneously, PBS expanded the platform to manage all dealership departments: Accounting, Sales, Parts, and Service.
Over the last 30 years, our DMS (Dealer Management System) has been completely redesigned multiple times to support rapid technological changes.
Presently, we are the leading provider of DMS software in Canada and third across North America and the Caribbean. We revel in our +99% customer retention rate and having customers who were part of our initial DMS launch in 1994.

**The Opportunity**:
Onboarding our software with dealership staff is a non-stop effort. Our Client Services team effectively communicates strategies and solutions to ensure optimized use of the software. Our award-winning approach to support ensures that we maintain the highest industry standard.
Our v10 platform runs all aspects of an automotive dealership, including sales, service, inventory management, and accounting. The Client Services team directly supports dealership staff in their day-to-day operations by:
- Guiding system setups
- Training best practices
- Troubleshooting any issues
To promote growth within your team, you’ll engage regularly with other support staff to share experiences and knowledge pertaining to your role.
Importantly, you will provide either onsite or virtual support during the installation phase of our software.
**The Role**:
Client Services personnel are specialized product experts with vast amounts of knowledge. They often have experience working with dealerships, in IT, or in customer service.
Each team focuses primarily on one section of our v10 software, representing a key dealership function: sales, accounting, service, or parts.
In the role of Accounting Bilingual (French/English) Customer Service Representative, you’ll assist controllers, AP/AR clerks, bookkeepers, and cashiers.
You’ll experience daily variety since every dealership implements v10 differently. Your responsibility will be to guide these unique customers while they adopt our product and cultivate long-term business relationships.
This position can be based in Calgary (AB), Milton (ON), or Arlington (Texas). It requires 1-2 weeks of travel per month to dealerships throughout North America and the Caribbean. This is not a remote work opportunity.
**Responsibilities**:
- Document all customer interactions through our ticketing system and escalate matters as required
- Collaborate with other groups/departments to streamline service delivery
- Identify opportunities in existing processes to improve customer experience
- Remain conscious of software enhancements and new releases through meetings and release notes
- Acquire knowledge of our software and its supporting infrastructure
- Commit to ongoing personal development and cross-training as recommended by your team leader
- Become certified within your primary area of the software within 3 months and obtain additional program certifications (as required) within 15 months
- Perform other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- Bilingual fluency to support our French and English-speaking customers in the Accounting module of our software
- Experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Experience in the automotive industry, with car dealerships, or with PBS is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/365 and able to learn new technologies
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Skilled at multitasking and prioritizing
- Ability to travel within Canada and the USA for up to 1 week per month (COVID-19 vaccination required)
