**Responsibilities**

**Camp** **Counsellors **are reporting to the Program Director, the Camp Counsellor will supervise a group of children or youth in Camp and lead them for different sports and arts activity. Camp Counsellors will in the implementation and delivery of camp activities and ensure camper safety and security throughout the day. Follow policies and procedures, while delivering camp services. Work effectively with the Program Coordinator, Camp Directors, Supervisors, peers, participants and the public

**As a Basketball Camp Counsellor**, you are responsible for
- Create and facilitate daily camp programming - get involved with the campers
- Work with the coaches to continuously improve programming Camper and Family Interactions
- Facilitate start and end of day staff meetings - set expectations for all coaches and encourage personal growth
- Manage and track staff attendance Programming
- Manage camper check-in and check-out
- Communicate and interact with parents throughout the day - handling program questions and feedback in a professional manner by providing exceptional customer service
- Providing care and comfort to upset, distraught or homesick campers First Aid and Camp Safety
- Ensure that all Soccer activities are carried out in a safe manner

**Experience and Skills**

Strong leadership and communication skills developed through previous supervisory roles along with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt Experience playing and a variety of sports including but not limited to; basketball, soccer, dance, golf etc. AND/OR extensive experience working with young children in a supervisory role as a teacher or early childhood educator

Ability to encourage and motivate volunteers, and to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of others Flexibility to meet on occasional evenings and weekends with the Camp Leadership Team throughout the summer

**Qualifications**
- Ability to multi-task
- 2 years experience in youth soccer teaching or receive relevant awards on soccer sport
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relations skills
- Fluency in English
- Has NCCP as an asset
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the _Immigration and Refugee Protection Act _for the duration of the employment
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment period

**Compensation**

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

**Trial Sessions and Interview**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $2,880.00 per month
