GlassHouse Botanics Inc, a licensed Cannabis producer, is looking to hire a Cultivation Supervisor.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Cultivation Supervisor will provide support in overseeing all aspects of cultivation, including propagation, vegetative stage, flowering stage, and plant maintenance, while ensuring processes are running smoothly and in accordance with Health Canada Regulations. This role will lead the assigned teams to meeting day-to-day production goals while maintaining a high-quality cannabis product consistent with GlassHouse Botanics standards and all GPP & EU GMP regulatory requirements.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Leading by example, including all aspects of growing, from propagation to destruction, sanitation to record keeping and exceptional hygiene practices.
- Work with procurement department and operations coordinator to ensure plant materials (i.e., fertilizers, Pots, Soil, Rockwool) and supplies/equipment are available.
- Perform efficiency evaluations to ensure all aspects of our cultivation production are streamlined.
- Supervision of teams including Cultivation, Propagation, and Plant Maintenance, ensuring that daily and weekly tasks are completed to the required specifications.
- Audit cultivation related documents for completion prior to Quality Assurance review.
- Support all people related challenges that may arise.
- Ensure that cultivation areas are prepped prior to each event.
- Perform daily walk throughs of all cultivation spaces to ensure they meet GPP/EU-GMP requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments (IPM/IRR and Post-Harvest).
- Provide progress reports on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate training activities for cultivation to ensure all staff are trained prior to completing each task.
- Development and review of work instructions procedures, as required.
- Other tasks as assigned to support Quality and Operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Botany/Horticulture/Agriculture or a related field would be considered a strong asset.
- 2+ years’ experience as a manager or in managing, growing, and motivating a team of 20+ members.
- Greenhouse production experience would be an asset.
- High work ethic standards are a must.
- Tenacious and reliable.
- Ability to work independently.
- Health Canada security clearance would be an asset.
- Self-motivated.
- Knowledge of GPP, GACP and EU-GMP would be considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and follow direction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills and ability to deal with all types of personalities.
- Self-starter, critical thinker, and team oriented.

**Conditions of employment**: All applicants being considered for employment will be required to pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

**Job Specific Demands**: Applicants must be fit and able to lift 50 lbs comfortably. Applicants must be flexible to work variable shifts and have reliable transportation. Hours are full time but may include weekends or evenings, depending on production needs. Some tasks require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

**Our Environment**: Plants like heat and humidity. To be successful in this position you need to be comfortable working in an enclosed environment with high heat and humidity, wear protective clothing, hair covering and other Personal Protective Equipment.
