**Position Summary**:
The OR Supply Chain Coordinator will report to the Surgical Business Manager and will work with Surgery Program stakeholders (Clinical Managers, Educators, Clinical Staff, Surgeons, Surgery Program Director etc.); Corporate Product Evaluation and Evaluation Committee (PESC) Coordinator; THP Director of Operations/SSW Liaison/Procurement Compliance Lead, and Shared Services West (SSW) to provide hands-on support, and expertise on supply chain matters in the Clinical Settings such as:
- Coordination and management of new product evaluations through the PESC OR subcommittee - including but not limited to: (1) clinical needs assessments (2) impact analysis [clinical and non-clinical], (3) contract compliance, and (4) associated clinical trials;
- Assessment of risks and opportunities to develop options; facilitate, and support the clinical team with day-to-day operational decision-making;
- Inter-site coordination related to Procurement/RFP/Product Conversion processes in active collaboration and partnership with SSW;
- Identification of savings opportunities through standardization/operational optimization work/analytics;
- Support resolution of Logistics-related challenges in the Peri-operative areas as needed (i.e. partnering with SSW in backorder situations, etc.)
- Support quality improvement initiatives related to supply chain practices;
- Collaborate with SSW with contract commitment and compliance management;
The Coordinator will act as an on-site resource to ensure that the Program End-Users’ procurement and logistics requirements are met. They will act as a liaison between the Program and SSW to achieve the above functions.
The Coordinator, with the program Leadership’s support, will also reinforce proper procurement approval processes to Program members and promote compliance to the Broader Public Sector Supply Chain Guidelines, as well as to support management of program budgets.
Lastly, the Coordinator will build strong and effective on-site relationships with THP internal customers, as well as collaborating with SSW to effectively provide best customer service to THP.
**Key Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of a Degree or Diploma in a related discipline from a recognized University or Community College
- Previous Project Analyst, Supply Chain (Logistics and/or Strategic Sourcing), Quality Improvement, and/or Supervisory experiences would be an asset
- Previous experience in a health care/ hospital environment, clinical knowledge/professional practice understanding of a wide variety of products (consumables and reusable), and capital equipment used within a healthcare environment would be an asset
- Project management/stakeholder engagement skills to drive initiatives to completion and facilitate discussions toward resolution
- Experience in performing data analytics using Microsoft Excel and developing business case materials using Microsoft Power Point/Document; experience in Supply Chain-related analytics (inventory tracking, backorder management, etc.) would be an asset
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, able to translate sound assessment to recommendations
- Experience with Meditech Materials Management module and related Procurement and Accounts Payable processes; as well as management of supply chain activities via involvement with Shared Service Organizations (SSOs) or Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs)
