Accounting Receptionist

**Accounts Payable and Receivables Clerk / Reception Position**
We are looking for an analytical accounts receivable and accounts payable professional, who will also handle reception duties at the front desk.
**AP/AR Clerk Role**
In this role, you will be required to review account information, correct discrepancies, and ensure that accounts are properly billed and that payments are collected.
To succeed as an AP and AR clerk you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong math and computer skills.
**Responsibilities**
- Create and post journal entries.
- Process invoices for payment
- Prepare cheques as required.
- Prepare weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare GST returns.
- Issuing purchase orders.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Experience with SAGE 50.
**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.
**Skills**
- Strong computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products as Excel, Outlook and with Sage 50 software.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Quick leaner with strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
**Reception Responsibilities**:
- Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Announcing clients as necessary.
- Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.
- Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
- Sorting and distributing mail.
**Receptionist Requirements**:
- Prior experience as a receptionist or in a related field.
- Consistent, professional dress, and manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
