Events Assistant

**Season**:This is a spring-summer-fall seasonal position. The Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises operating season begins in late April, and ends in late October.
**Qualifications**:
- Positive attitude and professional approach to customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Competency with MS Office (with a focus on excel and power point).
- Completed or currently pursuing a post-secondary program.
- Past event planning experience is an asset.
- Past hospitality and food service experience is an asset.
- Demanding physical work is occasionally required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor client satisfaction.
- Assist with clients vision and needs for a successful event.
- Maintain wide-ranging knowledge of exclusive events.
- Enter bookings for events and build contracts.
- Tracking accounts receivable for exclusive clients.
- Support Event Sales Coordinator with exclusive sales.
- Assist in boat set up on event dates.
- Assist with daily office tasks as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months
**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
