- Friday- NUMBER- 1POSTING TYPEOpen- HYRBID ELIGIBLE- YesThe Manager, Employee Health, Safety & Wellness is currently seeking an HR Consultant to lead Disability Management, Accommodation and Attendance Management processes in the Hospital. This position supports portfolio members in the areas of Wellness, Occupational Health and Health & Safety, and works with HR Business Partners to provide leadership, guidance and oversight specific to the areas of Occupational Health to a designated management client group.

Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. The Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Leads the design and maintenance of Employee Health policies and procedures
- Plays a key role in departmental strategic projects.
- Assist with attendance management/absence reporting including generating attendance reports and statistics, assisting with corporate statistical reports and attendance meetings.
- Support the orientation of new Managers by providing department functional overviews during the onboarding process.
- Supports employees and Management with procedures and status relating to short and long-term disability leaves, attendance management, accommodation and policies.
- Assist with data monitoring, benchmarking and analysis of key indicators, participate in identification and oversight of quality improvement processes, and provide updates to client groups via Business Review Meetings.
- Supports Employee Health, Safety & Wellness department and Manager with special project or committee participation.

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Specialized training/education in the areas of Human Resources Management, Disability Management or Occupational Health & Safety functions.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with demonstrated leadership in Human Resources or Occupation Health and Safety with a preference for a unionized environment.
- Experience working with partners in the areas of occupational health & safety, disability management, recruiting or employee wellness.
- Knowledge of workplace legislation including ESA, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and Regulations, Personal Health Information Protection Act, Ontario Human Rights Code.
- Knowledge of disability management, RTW and attendance support principles, practices and legislation; understanding of data collection and analysis.
- Advanced presentation, communication and business writing skills.
- Interpersonal skills to facilitate trust, manage conflict and maintain effective working relationships.
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation), and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude.
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills.
