**The Role**: Product Management & Development 2023 Internship (DVA)

**The Team**: SPGI is a global leader in derivative valuations, data and workflow tools. Our Portfolio Valuations business is an industry leading independent valuation service, providing valuations and related calculations on all manner of derivatives from vanilla to the most complex, across all asset classes.

**Responsibilities**:
Perform market data checks, such as vol surface or yield curve checks.
Conduct coverage checks, confirming whether a particular derivative is covered, and under which instrument type we would price it.
Conduct price challenges and confirmations, comparing prices with vanilla instruments and confirming the accuracy of our pricing models.
Perform basic booking checks, to show that trade data has been captured correctly.
Work on projects in Excel, VBA, Python that improve trade processing, calibration sheets, or add bespoke product coverage.

**What We’re Looking For**:
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline completed no later than May 2024.
Strong interest in financial derivatives and financial markets.
Basic knowledge about derivatives, such as options, forwards, volatility.
Excellent data analysis skill; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and database management.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Programming experience in Python is not required but helpful.

**Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only )**: 5

**The Location**: Toronto, Canada. This will be a hybrid role.
