The Role:
The Creative Multimedia Specialist is a critical asset to the growing Marketing team at Medcan. This position is focused on creating and building out Medcan’s creative assets to successfully unify the brand. The role will comprise of day to day asset creation, while also advising on creative strategy and brand excellence.

You are driven by all things branding and are excited about creative challenges. You love to create unified assets that span across numerous mediums & are excited about pushing creative to the limit. Not only do you love to create beautiful work, but you understand creative optimization & how to build assets that align to business goals.

You dive into all aspects of a campaign. From preliminary design strategy, to final asset creation, you enjoy being a part of the entire process. You are constantly learning new creative skills, while keeping up with industry trends.

The Accountabilities:

- Work with the Manager, Marketing Communications and the rest of the marketing team to develop assets to support the business.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand creative needs across the varying aspects of the business.
- Ensure you are the brand gatekeeper, creating all assets to brand & advising on other areas of the business that need branding assistance.
- Develop and create assets to support numerous marketing campaigns such as layout design, digital assets, illustrations & more.

The Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design or other relevant areas of study.
- 1-2 years of experience in a creative role (marketing/business experience an asset).
- Focused skillset in layout design, branded assets & both digital, print-ready file creation.
- Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a mastery in Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of video editing, animation & HTML considered a strong asset.
- Understanding of marketing fundamentals & branding best practices.
- A strategic mindset that thinks beyond asset creation, but rather to the business goals & objectives to be achieved.
- A highly collaborative attitude focused on providing the best products and solutions for the team.
- A portfolio of past work is required.

This is a permanent role with full-time hours. The position will be remote while we continue to navigate the current global pandemic, it may require partial or full on-site requirements in future. This role is primarily scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday.
