**Purpose**
Contributes to the overall success of Scotiabank’s Supply Chain Finance (SCF) sales team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures
**What You’ll Do**
- Support multiple Associate Directors (ADs) in ensuring that business goals are achieved by retaining and increasing the overall profitability of the portfolio while maintaining an acceptable level of risk
- In conjunction with ADs, analyze new SCF opportunities, handle customer requests for amendments of existing credit facilities, complete risk assessments, prepare credit presentations and recommendations
- Lead end-to-end onboarding of new clients and programs by coordinating with internal partners (Execution, Operations, GTB Onboarding and KYC teams)
- Prepare and write new credit presentations and annual reviews for obligors covered by SCF, including permanent monitoring of financial performance
- Review credit/legal documentation in conjunction with senior team members, culminating in the closing of SCF transactions
- Support in the development of client presentations and proposals
- Influence a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in business decisions
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles
- Ensure the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment
**What You’ll Bring**
- University degree; MBA is preferred
- 3 years of related banking or business experience
- Experience on Credit and credit presentation
- Skills in risk assessment, financial analytical and structuring deals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Legal document negotiation experience is preferred
**Work Arrangement**:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours may be required from time-to-time.
