Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for supporting project management teams and their schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Scheduler will be involved in the standardization, review, analysis and enhancement of existing scheduling processes and principles. This role will be located in the Winnipeg, MB office.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Develop corporate standard and templates for schedule management, including guidelines for schedule development, schedule maintenance, and as-built schedules
- Provide scheduling support to Project Managers and Project Coordinators on a regular and as needed basis
- Synthesize project schedules into a master schedule to facilitate company resource management and planning
- Monitor schedule compliance and recommended practices across company projects
- Prepare reports and presentations on project status, including budget and resource allocation
- Assist schedule analysis at the pre-bid stage and at hand off meetings between Estimating and Operations
- Assist Project Managers with compiling schedule performance information for the preparation of project close-out reports
- Maintain documentation in a manner consistent with contract deliverables and Sigfusson Northern’s file structure
- Stay current on scheduling and planning best practices and scheduling software and technologies
- Ad hoc duties as required

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Minimum 5+ years’ of construction scheduling experience or project management in a corporate environment
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Experience with MS Project or P6 scheduling software
- Construction related education will be considered an asset
- Relevant professional designation will be considered an asset
- Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
- Critical thinking and effective decision-making skills are required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as electronically
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
