**OVERVIEW**:

- Deliver a comprehensive, understandable, scalable and usable design system.
- Create an executable plan to grow our design system culture.
- Evolve our visual design language and establish guidelines.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to designers, enhancing skills and elevating design quality.
- Champion atomic design principles and accessible web development standards.

You will be responsible for the success of our Design System—ensuring there is the necessary resources, knowledge management repository, infrastructure and talent to deliver exceptional results. **WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- You’ll work with Digital Strategy and Governance to mature the UX strategy for our design system, navigation experience and integration capabilities that align with our digital ambition.
- Work with Intelligence and Experience teams to conduct customer and competitor analysis to identify design problems and create blueprints for understanding and addressing customer needs.
- Work with the digital and development teams to enhance the design systems roadmap, including objectives, targets and KPI’s for the system itself.
- Collaborate with brand and graphic design to build elements that can be applied/scaled to any product and bring the brand to life.
- Provide feedback on templates, prototypes and production designs to the team of UX and UI designers.
- Support with mentoring and coaching teams in design principles, best practices, and professional development.
- Take a user-centered design approach to conduct user interviews and rapidly test, iterate and validate new elements.
- Document the designs and guidelines for the use of components and elements in the design system in-depth.
- Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and address feedback, feature requests and enhancements to the design system.
- Continuing the growth of the system for maintenance, continuous improvement and adoption of the design system with a focus on how to prioritize and manage the design system backlog.

**WHAT YOU WILL HAVE**:

- You've led the creation of a design system for large enterprises with complex product’s, cross-functional teams and continually evolving customer needs.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in design, web development or digital/multimedia design.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in product design, interaction design, systems design, and/or UX design.
- A portfolio exhibiting detailed design thinking and problem-solving for the overall user experience, with an emphasis on design systems.
- Broad knowledge of front-end code, programming languages, responsive and adaptive web principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and design system management tools (e.g., Storybook).
