**The Opportunity**:
This position will be part of Infrastructure & Waskasoo Park Services. Responsibilities include the scheduling and supervision of City employees and contractors, as well as coordinating materials and small and large equipment to efficiently achieve a wide range of services. This position also guides staff in the implementation of the Parks Safety and Risk Management Programs. Oversees the operational direction of their assigned area with the support of Parks Foreperson 1. Executes direction from the appropriate Parks Supervisor. The Parks Foreperson II position will be assigned a specific portfolio.
- Infrastructure & Waskasoo Park Services _
- Supervises and participates in construction & maintenance of various amenities such as trails, structures, playgrounds, & outdoor ice surfaces.
- Manage the 3rd party agreements and obligations set within.
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Horticultural Apprenticeship certificate or 2 year Diploma in Horticulture or related field.
- Four years of progressive experience. (portfolio specific).
- Two years of demonstrated leadership experience. (Including project management).
- First Aid Certification required.
- Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
- Leadership for Safety Excellence Certificate, Leadership & Supervisory Training or courses in Office Management would be an asset.
- **Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered._

**Portfolio Specific Requirements**:

- Infrastructure & Waskasoo Park Services_
- Playground inspection certificate is an asset.
- 4 years of progressive experience in 1 or more of the following areas:

- Landscape maintenance and construction
- General construction
- Playground construction, inspection and maintenance
- Turf management
- Equipment maintenance and repairs
- Facility snow and ice control
- Outdoor rink construction and maintenance
- Trail construction and maintenance

**Remuneration**:
$38.65 to $40.69 per hour.

**Hours of Work**:
80 hours biweekly, as scheduled. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
