**What you'll do**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Handle customer inquiries and serve as the on-property liaison for group sales.
- Achieve group revenue goals by responding to and closing incoming group/catering opportunities.
- Understand market dynamics, competitors, and economic trends to effectively sell against them.
- Utilize negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
- Actively upsell each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential.
- Partner with the sales team to identify new group/catering business and achieve revenue goals.
- Assist with selling, implementation, and follow-through of group sales promotions.
- Conduct site inspections at both hotels, ensuring a thorough understanding of offerings.
- Monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control hotel occupancy.
- Develop relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, and trade shows.
- Implement the brand’s service strategy, ensuring service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned.
**What you offer us**:
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area. **OR** 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area.
- Proven experience in group sales within the hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation and creative selling skills.
- Warm and effective communications skills (in English language) both oral and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to travel and conduct site inspections as needed.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving revenue goals.
- Must possess strong computer skills proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Past sales experience an asset.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
- Lightspeed/Marsha preferred.
- Knowledge of GXP an asset
- Well-developed organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Will be available to work variable shifts which would include weekends and holidays
- Ability to work out of both property locations and travel between hotels as needed.
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
