Technical Writer

**Job Summary**
Reporting to the CSIO of WOLF Advanced Technology Canada Inc., **Technical Writer** will be an active member of the PMO team. The **Technical Writer** must be able to learn complex technical information and possess the ability to communicate the information to people with engineering and technical professional backgrounds.

**Responsibilities**
- Work primarily with the engineering, and PMO teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
- Recommend and implement best practices for cohesive documentation.
- Work with the Technical Support team to improve the end-user experience through written documentation improvements.
- Maintain a comprehensive glossary of technical terminology and documentation.
- Edit and refine documentation provided by colleagues.
- Assist with content updates to the internal and external websites.
- Assist the Marketing team with content.
- Additional related duties as assigned.

**Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technical certificate, with background knowledge in at least some of the following: video graphics hardware (PCBs, GPUs, FPGAs, video formats), data fabric solutions (network technologies, network security, PCIe, multihost, etc.), drivers, firmware, AI hardware/technology, or related technologies.
- 5+ years experience creating customer-facing technical documentation for organizations that develop hardware and low-level software.
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation and procedural manuals for technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts via self-directed learning and make them understandable in text and pictures.
- Excellent written English skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator preferred.
- Ability to build relationships and rapport quickly.
- Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable multitasking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements.

Applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to prove that they are able to work in Canada on a permanent basis and undergo a police check with no criminal background.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
