**Responsibilities**
- Assist in leading engagement teams to complete and prepare review and audit engagements, budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions; gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Develop an understanding of client’s business, key risks and ways to deliver added value; ensure engagement’s needs are met; assist in the planning, scope and completion of assurance (audit and review) engagements
- Direct and review work on assurance engagements, complete file preparation of complex sections on engagements, monitor progress in relation to budgets and due dates
- Review and prepare client facing compilation engagements, including corporate tax returns (T2s) for entities in a diverse range of industries
- Deliver industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through reports, technical work, management presentations and high-quality deliverables
- Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
- Mentor, motivate and coach junior/intermediate team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and training
- Assist in reviewing financial statements and corresponding tax returns for select clients

**Skills and Experience**
- CPA (Canadian) designation
- Approximately 3 to 6 years of relevant, progressive experience at a public accounting firm
- Working knowledge and technical experience working with Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (“ASPE”), and/or Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (“ASNPO”), or International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”)
- Strong understanding of business, assurance, accounting, management and practice development principles
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines with strong communication skills
- Proven people management, and relationship building skills

Location: Burnaby, BC

**Salary**: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
