Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for a team-player to help us promote high quality products as well as ensure that our products comply with North American food safety standards.

**Position Summary**:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist reports to the QA Manager and provides support to management, purchasing, and other departments in all matters related to food and cosmetic safety and quality. Additionally, the QA Specialist will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of a food and cosmetic safety and quality management system across the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform food quality checks, analyses, and product inspections
- Provide regulatory knowledge and support on food safety and quality-related issues with different departments
- Resolve customer and CIFA complaints and non-conformity issues
- Assist management in handling routine projects and liaise with operations team and others
- Implement product hold and release procedures
- Ensure food safety documents and certificates are updated accordingly
- Maintain tracking documentation of department work and output
- Develop and prepare food labels
- Perform internal audit & corrective action plans

**Requirements/ Must-Haves**:

- At least 2 years of relevant working experience with food safety, food labeling, and internal audits
- University degree in a related discipline, such as Food Science, Quality Assurance, Nutrition, or Science; or College Diploma in Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance
- Good understanding of Food and Drug Regulations, Canadian Food Labeling Regulations, and other related requirements
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and prioritization skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, and able to work with mínimal supervision while actively participating in a team environment
- A problem solver and advocate for continuous improvements

**Assets/ Nice-to-Haves**:

- Fluency in French or Chinese is an advantageous
