**TJ Landscaping is a family owned and operated company in Red Deer, Alberta. We work hard to provide the best quality of work to our customers of Central Alberta and Surrounding areas. Loader Operator is responsible for safe and efficient operation of a loader. You will perform duties as assigned to ensure TJ Landscaping policies and procedures as well as Alberta Occupational Health and Safety and Contract standards are followed.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate wheel loader & skid steer to plow commercial parking lots.
- Operate loader to load trucks.
- Preventative maintenance on machinery/equipment as required.
- Ability to perform work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Adhering to all safety policies and processes.
- Additional tasks as required by supervisor.
**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience operating Loader.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Awareness of surroundings and ability to perform job in a safe manner.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Must be a team player.
- Valid Class 5 Operator’s License; clean Driver Abstract.
**Equipment Operation**:
- Operate a loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of a loader.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment as necessary.
- Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
- A sound understanding of ground disturbance.
- Use a wheel loader to load trucks, haul aggregates, level soil, move rock/debris.
**Working Environment/Conditions**:
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 20 LBS on a regular basis.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a loader to transport materials within the construction site
- Load and unload materials from trucks or other vehicles
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform routine maintenance on the loader to ensure its proper functioning
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient operationsSkills:
- Proficient in operating a loader and familiar with its controls and functions
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols in a construction environment
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate tasks with team members
