**Position Description**

We are currently seeking motivated, hardworking individuals for our Class 1 Driver role in our Red Deer, AB location. We are looking for someone who can drive a truck and trailer to and from disposal locations, and other delivery and drop off duties. competently operate loader, excavator and skid steer to load trailers.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Operate and drive truck and trailer.
- Operate loader, excavator and skid steer
- Should possess and should be quick learner and ready to work as a team
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
- Communicate with dispatch on a regular basis to ensure delivery is completed
- Ensure Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform manual and electronic data-entry on a frequent basis.
- Advanced coordination with dispatch regarding routes.
- Ensure the appropriate PPE is worn as all times
- May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
- Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned
- **Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**_
- 3-5 years of driving experience is preferred
- Must possess a valid Class 1 license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR
- Comfortable handing household garbage/waste
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Must be able to successfully pass all required training, background check, and drug and alcohol testing.
- Truck driving in all types of weather conditions, including the use of chains in the winter.
