As a Community Empowerment Mentor, you will have the unique opportunity to empower a young man who enjoys socializing, candid photography, and swimming. Your role will be tailored to his specific interests and goals, encompassing:

- **Individualized Guidance**: Providing personalized guidance and assistance tailored to his unique strengths, interests, and goals.
- **Educational Engagement**: Designing and implementing educational activities that align with his interests, such as expanding his sign language skills and introducing him to the joy of reading.
- **Skill Development**: Facilitating the development of practical skills and abilities that support his independence, confidence, and well-being.
- **Relationship Building**: Facilitating meaningful connections and friendships within the community, fostering a supportive network that celebrates his unique strengths and interests.
- **Transportation and Accompaniment**: Safely transporting him to social events, photography outings, and swimming sessions, while encouraging social interaction and community participation.
- **Empowerment Through Encouragement**: Offering continuous encouragement, motivation, and coaching to inspire his personal growth, self-expression, and goal achievement.
- **Collaborative Networking**: Building partnerships with community organizations, photography clubs, and literacy programs to expand his opportunities for learning, socializing, and self-expression.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or caregiving roles, with a passion for empowering individuals with diverse abilities and interests.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to fostering independence and empowerment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certification or training in relevant areas such as first aid, CPR
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
