**Community Resources and Support Services (CRSS) is seeking 3 FULL TIME - **_**Residential Assistant Supervisors (Oshawa ON)**_ **to join our growing team and organization.**

**Those we serve**:
**CRSS supports Transitional Aged Youth and Adults with Intellectual Disabilities, Complex Special Needs and a range of Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Due to our unique approach and high standards of care, we support individuals who may be hard to place in most community support settings.**

**Job Location: Oshawa ON**

**Position Status: Full Time hours, Mondays to Fridays, **_(3 evenings and 2 day shifts, OFF on weekends), On-Call rotation schedule for 1 week at a time_

**Hours of work: 8 hours shifts**

**Rate of Pay: TBD based on direct experience in this role**

**Support and Training**:

**- Quality Assurance Measures Training**

**- Medication Handling and Distribution**

**- Positive Behavioural Support Training**

**About the Role**:
**Assistant Supervisors are responsible to help with the smooth operation of the program during times when the supervisor is not on shift. Report directly to the Supervisor at all times.**

**Assistant Supervisors effectively supervise, train, and orient staff to the designated programs and individuals.**

**Able to fulfil on-call duties to support multi programs during rotation schedule.**

**May act as a Primary Worker to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ISP’s and interventions for the individuals in collaboration with the program supervisor, case managers, physicians, parents, and other community members.**

**Adhering to all CRSS Policy & Procedures and Quality Assurance Measures compliances. In addition, CRSS provides the resources, support, and guidance to ensure care is of the highest standard and creates meaningful interactions and experiences for staff and those we support.**

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a Human Services Diploma, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Service Worker diploma from a Community College or University degree in a related field.(**Note: NO PSW Certification will be considered without other relevant college diploma)**

**. A minimum of 10 + years of related experience working with individuals with very complex developmental disabilities and extensive behaviors..**

**- **Solid understanding of Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and additional complex behavioural needs.

**. Prior experience managing a staff team in a residential setting is MANDATORY to be considered for this position.**

**- **Strong leadership skills, confidence, time and priority management skills, conflict resolution skills, ability to delegate, strong problem solving skills, flexibility, and a strong level of commitment.
- Dedicated to effecting change and demonstrating professional accountability within the team environment.

**.** Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and compassion approach to working with adults with a developmental disability.
- Strong effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability and interest to be a positive leader of a dynamic team.

**- **Must have the ability to physically support young adults and adults with complex behavioural needs.

**- Valid G driver’s License.**

**- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.**

**- Successful completion of a VSS police check.**

**- Medical clearance in accordance with CRSS policy on pre-employment medicals.**
