**Data Quality Reviewer, Neonatal Program**

- Data Quality Reviewer works collaboratively with NICU multidisciplinary team with knowledge and experience in NICU patient's medical records.

**What you’ll do**
- Responsible for timely and accurate neonatal patient and program data collection, data abstraction and data entry for the purpose of quality assurance, continuous quality improvement, research and operations across the Neonatal Program including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Mother Baby Care (MBC), and Neonatal Follow Up (NFU).
- Ensure the timely entry into assigned databases and uploading/submissions to meet agreed targeted timelines. Ensure the highest standards to ensure quality data integrity. Provide support for the development and maintenance of data collection tools.
- In accordance with PHSA policies, standards and procedures, uphold the safe and secure handling of patient information, sharing of clinical and organizational data, including data from the patient health record, program statistics and other relevant information according to organization standards for data sharing and storage.
- Confirm with the Program Manager or designate and in consultation with the CNN and/or the CNFUN site investigator at the BC Women’s Hospital (BCWH) any requests for the release and sharing of data, and ensure these requests are in accordance with the PHSA and Neonatal Program standards and have received prior approval.
- Identify and escalate potential concerns or issues on data integrity, systems/software issues and make improvement suggestions to Program Manager or designate and BCWH CNN and/or CNFUN site investigator. Participate in the evaluation and the presentation of findings as required.

- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Science, Statistics or Biostatics.
- A minimum three (3) years of recent, related experience working with healthcare data sources or healthcare or academic research environment.
- Advanced knowledge of database management and high degree of computer literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- You will also have:

- Knowledge of analytical methodologies, understanding databases, and/or spreadsheet.
- Technical writing skills, experience in quantitative analysis and/or use of statistical principles is an asset.
- Ability to maintain absolute discretion with respect to highly confidential correspondence and reports.
- Ability to work in an electronic health systems environment.
- High degree of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, RedCap and statistical software.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).

**Job Type**:Regular, Full-Time
**Salary Range: $56,606 - $81,371 /year.**
