Receptionist / Service Technician

The individual must be willing to learn a wide aptitude of repairs on different electronic devices. The service technician’s role is to receive, asses, diagnose, and repair cellular and wireless devices. It includes testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, upgrading and installing, all types of hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The technician will be troubleshooting problem areas in a timely, accurate manner to determine and execute the appropriate solution.

**Responsibilities**

**1. Customer service and relations**
- Greet customers as they enter the store.
- Answer phone calls
- Communication and comprehension of the customers concerns and the issues they are experiencing.
- Providing possible solutions to a problem immediately
- Inventory management
- Keeping proper records of transactions and data entry with a POS software
- Perform other related duties as required during working hours.
- Shipping and Receiving
- Keep the work areas and the shop clean and organized
- Provide status updates to customers for special order items.

**2. Strictly to follow the instructions and procedures in the repair process.**
- Receive, Test, Diagnose and repair of damaged devices
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Be familiar with cellphone and tablet hardware/ software issues
- Testing electronic equipment with the use of hardware/software tools
- Disassembling cellular devices and tablets
- Installation and replacement of components
- Performing multiple repairs on different devices at once
- Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.

**Knowledge**
- Cell phone networks, computer networks.
- Cell phone troubleshooting
- Hardware components knowledge and testing
- Knowledge of electronic multi-layer boards
- POS and inventory system experience
