Vancouver, Canada VRS Communities Society Full time

VRS Communities Society (VRS) is currently recruiting a permanent, full-time **Scheduler**.

VRS is a not-for-profit housing and care organization for disabled and senior living individuals.

The location is in Vancouver, South Granville area. Potential for hybrid option within 3 to 6 months.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Scheduling Lead and Director of Financial Services & Data Mgmt., this position will be responsible for Scheduling the staff for the VRS Communities locations along with the other scheduling team members. Working hours for this position will be Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Responsible for initial entry of onboarding documents.

2. Responsible for block and replacement scheduling as required. This will also include pre-posting, reviewing, editing, and approving schedules in Quadrant Workforce or LGI Scheduling software.

3. Reviews Daily Staffing Sheets on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and preparedness for bi-weekly payroll.

4. Updates Team Group Chats with any communication needed and directed by Supervisor and team.

5. Perform duties as directed by the Site Supervisors in accordance with the Collective Agreement and policies set by the Scheduling Lead and Director of Financial Services.

6. Perform duties as directed by the Scheduling Lead and Director of Financial Services in support of the VRS CL Payroll.

7. Maintains a current knowledge of and complies with the BCGEU Collective Agreement Society policies and procedures.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education, Training and Experience**
- Grade 12
- General scheduling experience is preferred. Scheduling in Healthcare environment is an asset.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Software.
- Experience working in unionized environments

**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to do mathematical and financial calculations.
- Knowledge of practices and procedures related to accounting and payroll

**PERSONAL**
- Must be able to speak English fluently and communicate effectively both verbally and in the composition of written materials.
- Must possess personal qualities and an attitude that respects and maintains the spirit, dignity and individuality of the clients.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with clients, staff, visitors, and volunteers.

Pay: $46,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
