**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager of the Reproductive Care Program, under the daily supervision of the Program Administrative Coordinator, the General Office Clerk 2 is responsible for supporting the operational needs of both the Reproductive Care Program (off-site) and the Rh Program (IWK Main Campus). Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating the distribution of resources and communication to health care providers, organizing interprofessional meetings, answering telephones and directing calls, assisting with administrative functions, maintaining office supplies and other duties as required. This position is based primarily in the R.C.P. office (Halifax Professional Centre) but assisting the Rh Program (IWK Main Campus) will be required as per operational needs.

**Hours of Work**:
Casual relief status. Shifts are 8:30-4:30, 7.0 hours per shift; Monday - Friday as per Program operational needs.

**Your Qualifications**:

- Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D. required
- Graduate from a recognized Office Administration Program preferred
- Minimum six (6) months related administrative/secretarial experience preferred
- Keyboarding skills minimum of 40 wpm required, 60 wpm preferred (testing may be conducted)
- Demonstrated expertise with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.), Internet, and Database programs required (testing may be conducted)
- Familiarity with other programs such as Adobe, Publisher, Visio and database programs an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Handling requests from a variety of health care providers across the province with diplomacy and tact required
- Ability to work respectfully with a variety of inter-professional team members essential
- High degree of initiative, accuracy, attention to detail, and self-discipline/focus required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and to prioritize work requirements essential
- Flexibility required for changes in shift to meet workload demands
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Nova Scotia health care system an asset
- Competency in other languages an asset
