Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Environmental Services Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing high quality housekeeping and laundry services for residents and guests, in accordance with regulatory/legislative requirements as well as Company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Cleans assigned areas, suites, furnishings and fixtures in accordance with established housekeeping cleaning schedule (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) and procedures.
- Cleans floors, dry mops, wet mops, sweeps, disinfects where and when necessary.
- Launders resident bedding, towels or personal items, as per cleaning schedule.
- Reports observations to supervisor concerning structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctions, and documents in maintenance repair log.
- Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, legislation and Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code and/or wearing the Company uniform.
- Participate in all Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, and related activities as required.
- Attend all staff meetings and mandatory training.
- Reports any concerns with resident to care staff and/or Environmental Services Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Requirements:

- Interact effectively with team members, residents, families, visitors, and external service providers.
- Understands and practices the principles of excellent customer service and instills Signature Retirement Living’s mission, vision and values.
- Self initiative, strong time management and organizational skills; able to work under limited supervision.
- Clear Criminal Records Check.
- Up to date immunizations.

Education & Skills:

- Partial completion of High School and/or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Strong verbal/written English communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.

Working Environment, Special Skills and Physical Job Requirements:

- Regularly push/pull wheeled equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use of cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to variable temperatures.
- Bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for at least 3 hours per day.
- Walk and stand on a variety of surfaces for at least 3 hours per day.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $16.45 per hour
